Built by Siba Singha (CE 1714- 1744) the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It stands in the western extremity of the north bank of the Gaurisagar tank. Made of brick masonry, the temple is a nilachala type, i.e, a domical sikhara with honeycomb designs. The ground plan is fully developed with garbhagriha,antarala and mandapa. The garbhagriha is octagonal and mandapa is square on plan. Both are connected through an antarala. Exterior wall portion of the temple is carved with figurers of various divinities. The temple is raised within an enclosure wall.
